What is Jeans for Genes?

Jeans for Genes is a major national fundraiser of the Children's Medical Research Institute. It's signature event is Jeans for Genes Day where each year more than two million Australians wear their favourite jeans and donate much needed funds to support vital genetic research to advance the prevention and treatment of disease, leading to healthier generations of children.

Since 1994, millions of Australians have raised more than $56 million through Jeans for Genes to support research at Children's Medical Research Institute across four key areas: cancer, embryology, gene therapy and neuroscience.

It's fun and easy for Australians across the nation to get involved in Jeans for Genes and help create healthier generations! Things you can do include wearing your jeans on Jeans for Genes Day and making a donation, volunteering your time and taking part in organising fundraising events.
